Job Title: Workday Absence & Time Tracking Lead Consultant
Location: Remote - Canada
Onsite Requirements: Occasional travel to client sites in Quebec required
Compensation Range: $110-120/hr C2C or $150-160/hr CAD
Contract Length: 3-months with potential extension
Hours: 40 a week
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Canada. Sponsorship is not available.
Experienced Workday Absence & Time Tracking Lead needed to lead the functional delivery of enterprise Workday implementations. In this role, you will oversee the Absence and Time Tracking workstream, partnering with stakeholders to design, configure, and deliver scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced consultant who can confidently lead client engagements, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality Workday solutions across the full implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Workday Absence and Time Tracking functional workstream through all phases of implementation.
Design, configure, and deliver solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders by providing strategic guidance and managing expectations throughout project delivery.
Facilitate workshops, presentations, and solution discussions with business and technical audiences.
Collaborate effectively with distributed project teams in a remote environment.
Travel to client locations in Quebec as required during key project milestones.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Absence and Time Tracking while mentoring junior consultants.
Support project planning, solution estimation, and delivery planning activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and delivery best practices.
Participate in both implementation and post-production support engagements as needed while meeting established service expectations.
Required Qualifications
Based in Canada with the ability to travel within Quebec as needed.
Current Workday certifications in Time Tracking and Absence.
3-5+ years of Workday Time Tracking and Absence implementation experience.
Experience leading at least three full end-to-end Workday implementation projects.
Minimum two years of recent hands-on configuration experience within the past three years.
Experience with Workday implementation methodologies.
Strong functional expertise in Workday Time Tracking and Absence, with knowledge of HR, payroll, and enterprise business processes.
Demonstrated experience leading workstreams, facilitating client workshops, presenting solutions, and making sound decisions in fast-paced project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
French language proficiency.
Experience with workforce management or payroll platforms such as Kronos, ADP, or similar solutions.
Experience supporting post-go-live or managed services engagements.
Relevant professional certifications or industry credentials.
