Shift Schedule (Openings on all shifts)
Monday - Thursday
- Day Shift: (7:00am - 5:30pm M-TH)
- Night Shift: (7:30PM - 6:00AM M-TH)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Machinist/Tool and Die Maker machines precision components to tight tolerances, utilizing standard tool room equipment in a Job Shop environment. Assemble tools, fixtures, and machinery with regard to fit, form, and function.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Construct new tools and dies as required
- Review drawings and specifications
- Design jigs and fixtures
- Plan and implement order of operation to manufacture parts
- Calculate speeds, feed, and depth of cut
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, gauge pins, and other tools
- Machine parts to tight tolerances (0.005)
- Machine parts to require surface finish
- Repair and maintain production tools and die s
- Troubleshoot tooling equipment then repair as required
- Modify dies to conform to engineering changes
- Work to blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions, basic GDT
- Set up and operate machines: Drill Press, Engine Lathe, Milling Machine (knee and bend), Surface Grinder, ID/OD Grinder, Honing Machine, and CNC Lathes & Millsor
- Basic programming using G code or Conversational
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis
- Take on and complete any work that is assigned by the tool room Area/Shift leaders
- Preferred: CAD/CAM & Hydraulics and Pneumatics
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 5 years' experience in a machine shop environment
- Familiarization with Cam and G code programming
- Must have all basic tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions
- Good basic math and algebra skills
- Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required
- Ability to use computer and software as required
- Ability to work with blueprints and sketches
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 70 pounds; transfer 50-100 pounds with the help of another person
- Must be able to bend, squat, twist, and kneel
- Ability to use hand/power tools
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
