Job Title: Water Treatment Operator/ Water Tester
Location: Lima, Ohio 
Contract length: 7-month contract 
Pay: $18/hr - $23/hr

We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator to support the daily operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility. This role is responsible for monitoring treatment processes, ensuring water quality standards are met, performing routine testing, and maintaining compliance with environmental, quality, and safety regulations.

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient and effective plant performance.
• Ensure the quality of wastewater collection and treatment processes meets regulatory and operational standards.
• Collect water samples and perform routine testing, including pH, chlorine, and other treatment parameters.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust chemical feed rates and treatment processes as needed.
• Document operational data, testing results, and maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Recommend process improvements and technical enhancements to optimize plant operations.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and outside service providers when required.
• Maintain compliance with all quality, environmental, and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of treatment equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of water treatment processes, testing procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to collect samples, perform basic laboratory testing, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Water/Wastewater Operator certification is a plus but not required (depending on local requirements).
