Must Haves:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of FP&A experience, including forecasting, budgeting and business partnering
- Prior support of manufacturing operations
- Understanding of manufacturing cost structure and inventory
- Advanced Excel
- Ability to engage and work with C Level management
- Be highly proactive
Plus:
- Experience with Infor/Syteline, and/or Datarails
- Power BI
- Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow and how they work together)
- MBA
- Experience in a PE backed company and/or high growth environment
- Basic understanding of accounting ( accruals, debits/credits) and/or cost accounting
Job Description:
SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST (OPERATIONS)
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a key finance business partner to Operations within a fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company. This role is responsible for cost structure visibility, operational performance, and COGS drivers, supporting manufacturing scale and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Operational Support
* Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Facilities leadership
* Support cost management, efficiency, and operational decision-making
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Planning
* Lead budget and forecast for Operations, including headcount and operating expenses
* Develop models for labor, materials, overhead, and logistics costs
* Provide COGS inputs and assumptions to Finance Operations and Commercial FP&A
Operational Performance Analysis
* Analyze results vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
* Develop KPI reporting for manufacturing and supply chain
* Provide insights on labor efficiency, overhead, and productivity
Inventory & Working Capital
* Analyze inventory trends, turns, and excess/obsolete inventory
* Support working capital optimization
* Forecast production and inventory levels
Supply Chain & Cost Drivers
* Analyze procurement, freight, and cost drivers
* Support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
Facilities & Operational Spend
* Support facilities cost planning and capacity analysis
Process Improvement
* Build scalable processes to support manufacturing growth and complexity
* Partner with Finance Operations to ensure consistency in reporting and forecasting
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
* 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structure and inventory
* Experience translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
* Background in manufacturing, industrial, or product-based businesses
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, CRM, or planning tools.
* Experience in a high-growth and/or private equity-backed environment.
