Payroll Specialist II
Contract, 12 Months

Hourly rate: $28.37/hr.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am-6 pm EST
Location: Fully Remote

Must have:

  • Fluent Spanish (written and verbal)
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in payroll, finance, HR, administrative, customer service, or another data-driven operational environment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Prefer:
  • Exposure to Payroll, HR, Finance, Shared Services, or Operations.
  • Experience working with international or multicultural teams

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist II is responsible for supporting payroll operations across multiple countries within the LATAM region. This role partners with payroll providers, internal teams, and clients to ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with local regulations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating in a fast-paced global environment. While previous LATAM payroll experience is not required, candidates must be fluent in Spanish and eager to develop expertise in international payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing
  • Support the timely and accurate processing of payrolls across multiple LATAM countries.
  • Review and validate payroll information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor payroll deadlines and assist in meeting established service levels.
Data Validation & Auditing
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Analyze payroll variances and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with company and compliance standards.
Client & Stakeholder Support
  • Partner with clients, payroll providers, and internal teams to gather and verify payroll information.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions and resolve issues promptly.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Stay informed on payroll legislation, tax requirements, and employment regulations.
  • Escalate payroll risks or compliance concerns when necessary.
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
