Must Haves: 

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of FP&A experience, including forecasting, budgeting and modeling
  • Advanced Excel
  • Prior support of sales/marketing (any industry) OR prior support of R&D/Engineering in the manufacturing industry
  • Revenue forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering 
  • Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow and how they work together)
  • Ability to engage and work with C Level management 
  • Be highly proactive

Plus:
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience with commission planning( quotas) and management
  • Experience with Infor/Syteline, and/or Datarails 
  • MBA
  • Experience in a PE backed company and/or high growth environment
  • Basic understanding of accounting ( accruals, debits/credits)

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
COMMERCIAL & ENGINEERING

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a key finance partner to Commercial and Engineering
departments within a fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company. This is a high-impact role
at the center of the company's growth engine, responsible for Bookings and Revenue forecasting,
commercial and product analytics, and supporting investment decisions across go-to-market and product
development initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, business-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can influence decisions and help scale a growing business.

Responsibilities

Own the Revenue Forecast
* Lead the Bookings and Revenue forecasting process, including pipeline, conversion, shipments, and
revenue recognition.
* Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve forecast accuracy and visibility into growth drivers.
* Ensure alignment between revenue forecasts and operational capacity.

Drive Commercial & Customer Insights
* Analyze pipeline performance, customer trends, pricing, and product mix.
* Develop KPI dashboards and performance reporting for commercial leadership.
* Provide actionable insights to support revenue growth and efficiency.

Partner on Product & Engineering Investments
* Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to evaluate product roadmap and development
investments.
* Support new product introductions (NPI) through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
* Develop business cases for product and engineering initiatives, including headcount and R&D
investments.
* Provide visibility into product-level performance, profitability, and investment returns.

Lead Planning & Performance Management
* Own budgeting and forecasting for Sales, Marketing, and Engineering, including headcount and operating
expenses.
* Analyze results vs. plan and communicate key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
* Prepare materials for leadership and private equity stakeholders.

Enable Scalable Growth
* Build and improve financial models, reporting, and planning processes.
* Partner with Finance Operations to ensure alignment with company-wide reporting and systems.
* Help establish financial discipline and visibility in a high-growth environment.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
* 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance.
* Strong experience in revenue forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering.
* Experience working with Sales, Marketing, Product, or Engineering teams.
* Experience translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications
* MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, CRM, or planning tools.
* Experience in a high-growth and/or private equity-backed environment.
* Background in manufacturing, industrial, or product-based businesses
