Job Description

The Planet Group is seeking a Product Launch Project Manager to join one of our well-known sporting goods manufacturers.

  • Work Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site, Tuesday-Thursday) in Fairhaven, MA
  • Meeting Location: Periodic in-person meetings in New Bedford, MA may be required based on business needs (approx. 15 from office)
  • Pay: $50-55/hour depending on experience 
  • Duration: Long-term temporary assignment with potential to convert in 2027
Product Launch Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cross-functional golf ball product launches, including limited drops, packaging initiatives, and seasonal programs.
  • Serve as the operational hub across Product, Marketing, Sales, Creative, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure all initiatives are aligned, delivered on time, and executed seamlessly across channels.
  • Manage project timelines and key milestones throughout the product launch lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external agency partners to drive project execution.
  • Lead status meetings and provide ongoing communication to keep teams informed and aligned.
  • Drive process improvements through the development and implementation of standardized tools, workflows, and project management practices.
Product Launch Project Manager Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of project management experience in consumer products or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead complex product launches in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving projects from planning through execution.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable workflows and tools.
