Talent and Engagement Specialist

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and the latest Human Resources trends.
  • Strategizes with hiring managers to review position descriptions, create job requisitions, determine recruitment strategy, and prepare job postings.
  • Recruits and performs talent acquisition activities including, but not limited to, reviewing resumes, conducting candidate screens, arranging candidate interviews, and closing qualified candidates.
  • Monitor requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Utilizes Paycom applicant tracking system, i.e., create requisitions, prepare offer letters, and arrange background and reference screenings.
  • Actively recruit to fill vacant positions including posting/advertising open positions, attending job fairs, processes employment applications and, assists in other employment activities, screening and interviewing candidates, and reference/background checking.
  • Effectively markets company’s brand to attract and seek out qualified candidates and build up applicant pool by attending job fairs, establishing relationships with local communities, schools, and colleges, employment agencies and recruiters, as needed, as well as properly leveraging social media, forums, websites.
  • Communicates with managers and employees regularly to promote company referral program and internal opportunities.
  • Implements, and conducts companywide training and workshops designed to enhance manager’s and employee’s knowledge and skills and create paths for continuous learning.
  • Assesses employee engagement and training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and employees.
  • Partner with Associate Director of Education & Practical Learning to assist with the Apprentice Program.
  • Assist in the implementation of antiracism, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute all employee engagement events, including parties.
  • Manages the coordination of work-study students for reception desk coverage.
  • Oversees the placement and training of Professional Interns.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • All other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4+ years of experience in talent acquisition coordinator or related experience required.
  • 1+ years of employee engagement, training and development preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and employee-centric focused perspective
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems required.
