Exciting organization seeking a Supply Chain Manager. Seeking an individual contributor to join a fast paced team. Seeking someone with heavy planning experience .

The Supply Chain Manager will develop and maintain supply/inventory plans for assigned product lines, working closely with source sites to provide production plans and to measure adherence to plan. Own, develop and maintain supplier business relationships for assigned contract manufacturers; generate and issue purchase orders required to support the business in compliance with company and SOX policies; and ensure that any invoice related issues are resolved in a timely manner. Lead the Sales and Operational Planning process in the company and improve it to refine and add KPI’s which identify gaps to help drive continuous improvement in the areas of sales growth/customer service and cost reduction.
Customer Service. Meet or exceed customer service objectives for assigned products. Ensure (Stock Status) is reviewed and acted on weekly and ensure Paper requisitions are placed in a timely fashion. Pro-actively communicate with customers when an issue arises with an order.
Planning/Stock Status. Develop and Maintain supply/inventory plans for assigned product lines, working closely with source sites to provide weekly production plans and to measure adherence to plan. In support of the development of the supply plan, review, revise, and align with management any planning strategy or policy/parameter changes required to deliver customer service objectives and minimize expiry and update ERP system accordingly. Proactively assess plan for risk and identify actions that can/should be taken to mitigate any service issues. Host weekly cross functional supply chain meetings for each supply chain site.
Cost. Where applicable: 1) Develop and track all cost saving projects and update manager on a monthly basis, 2) Work to reduce the internal Cost of Ordering by identifying non-value activities and eliminate where ever possible. 3) Ensure that competitive pricing is achieved by Quoting out all new Products, and requoting a sample population of existing items of our preferred suppliers on an annual basis.
Communication. Communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers regarding, customer service, process improvements and cost saving ideas. Maintain strong relationship with internal Customers (Manufacturing, R&D, Quality Groups and Facilities) and suppliers/CMO’s.
Technical Skills. Conduct analyses/reconciliations to understand and explain variances vs. plan. Conduct cost/benefit analyses with Finance to be used in support of supplier/sourcing changes, etc. Participate in vendor assessment and selection activities where applicable to help drive Best Total Value for the company.
New Product Planning. Support all New Product planning activities and ensure that Purchasing/Supply Chain guides the sourcing decisions/changes with input for cost and service. Develop/maintain supply plans for new products.
S&OP. Run the Sales and Operational Process for the company to include a series of meetings to align on demand, production/inventory plans to include a Management review to share key issues and supply constraints with the associated corrective action plans. Drive continuous improvement for that process through the refinement and additional of KPI’s.
Training. Train new department personnel in Supply Chain practices, Purchasing procedures, ERP/other systems, and documented processes and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business or a math/science discipline is required.
Five to seven years of planning/supply chain experience in continuously changing and challenging environment.
Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills, interpersonal and teaming skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Highly skilled in excel/other Microsoft tools, ERP software, primarily purchasing and planning systems.
Experience within a bio-tech organization is strongly preferred.
Must have a proven record as a leader/trainer with an interest to develop people.
Ability to negotiate supplier pricing, analyze variances
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
