Sr. Manager of Finance Operations and Systems. 

Contract Duration: open ended

Job Location: Lexington 
If they are outside of MA, they could travel in at least 1x per quarter. If they are in the greater Boston area, they would be on the regular finance hybrid schedule of 1-2x per week.

Job Summary/Description:

Reporting into the Sr. Director of Finance Operations, you will focus on delivering multiple highly visible, critical process improvement initiatives, system implementations and enhancements. You will have a programmatic approach to the continued development of the Finance Operations model to drive key improvement deliverables across functions (Finance, Digital Business Innovations, Sales, Marketing, etc.) and implement scalable, strategic solutions.

To achieve this, you’ll think big to create a long-term plan while having exceptional tactical skills to drive day-to-day implementations, working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment as we prepare for our next stage of growth.

Key Objectives - Finance Operations:
  1. Drive digital transformation of finance systems and processes
  2. Manage the portfolio of end-to-end process streams, including order to cash, procure to pay and record to report
  3. Drive consistency, efficiency & scalability of Finance operational processes
  4. Mitigate financial statement risks & ensure reporting accuracy
  5. Develop and manage operational KPI’s & promote continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Development of short, medium & long-term strategic roadmaps for Finance process & system initiatives aimed at scaling the Finance org to support the Company’s growth strategy.
  2. Lead the implementation of next stage Mimecast ERP/NetSuite including partnering with DBI leadership and external consultants.
  3. Develop integrated resource planning tools to support cross functional initiatives.
  4. Continued development of the Finance Operations support model (programmatic approach).
  5. Oversee program management, including development of project plans, management of implementation activities, and creation of documentation and communications to leaders and global employee stakeholders.
  6. Design processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic expansion, while maintaining internal controls & data integrity.
  7. Responsible for the post-merger integration of acquired companies into the financial systems footprint of Mimecast.
  8. Work cross-functionally to identify key opportunities for process & system enhancements, developing business cases for proposed improvements.
  9. Define key performance indicators and develop metrics for core programs and processes.
  10. Communicate new/updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees, and cross functional organizations.
  11. Collaborate and build relationships with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and the highest degree of consistency & controllership.
  12. Identify & quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  2. 8-10+ yrs experience in corporate finance, corporate strategy, controllership, or related functions
  3. 6+ yrs experience managing the portfolio of finance systems and processes including QTC, PTP, RTR
  4. Experience with large-scale, well-known ERPs; NetSuite and/or Oracle experience preferred
  5. Experience with Salesforce a plus
  6. Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects aimed at operational/process improvement & efficiencies
  7. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to manage change and drive improvements
  8. Ability to present succinctly to senior leadership & to all levels of the org
  9. Ability to create & document compelling business cases
  10. Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
  11. Team player, willing to help the Finance org drive towards best-in-class processes and systems
