Senior R&D Medical Systems Analyst – (Full-time) – Onsite – Virginia
Global Pharmaceutical provider with a focus on transforming patient lives, seeks a Sr. R&D Medical Systems Analyst for an onsite full-time opportunity in Virginia. This person will partner with R&D and Medical team members to deliver IT system enhancements, implementations, and projects, while serving as primary liaison between these parties. This individual will serve as IT Project Manager for Veeva Vault and other R&D systems, by planning, budgeting and delivering projects in alignment with user needs. Additionally, this person will perform operational, functional, maintenance and configuration of systems while liaising with application vendors to ensure the utmost utilization of technology. Responsibilities:
- Establishing and embedding integrated IT and business processes while prioritizing activities, setting delivery expectations, and ensuring system governance.
- Working with users to identify and drive productivity while meeting end user needs to include providing improvements and educational programs as needed.
- Ensuring systems security and that control procedures are implemented and followed according to IT security requirements with regard to development and deployment.
- Examining potential applications and determining most appropriate solutions based on user needs, system functionality, and as it pertains to the organizational set-up and budget.
- Assisting in designing, providing enhancements and modification for business systems through activities including user requirements gathering, analysis, and clarification.
- Performing systems and technology maintenance, updates, upgrades, back-ups, end-user, and audit support.
- Managing and coordinating IT projects in alignment with QMLC deliverable guidelines.
- Managing day-to-day project team activities and providing leadership to ensure alignment with business requirements and needs.
- Leading large scale global and various other projects throughout the QMLC process.
- Creating and maintaining documentation to include policies and procedures, systems design, process flows, status reports and presenting these accordingly as needed within Steering and Project Meetings.
- Ensuring global and local standards are implemented accordingly and followed within QMLC data and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related information technical disciplines.
- 8 years IT experience with 5 in Pharma IT environment, Project Management and in Veeva Vault.
- 2 years within a medical environment in Pharmacovigilance.
- Prior exposure in the provision of solutions in a SaaS environment.
- Working knowledge of Veeva Vault data integrations and Pharma/Biotech business processes.
- Prior involvement in technical management of multi-functional teams.
- Expertise having performed extensive documentation to include feasibility reports and presentations.
- Understanding of financial tools and techniques regarding budgeting and forecasting.
