Sr. Accounting Manager
Direct
Location: Onsite to start – hybrid after training – Burlington, MA

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Public accounting experience (2+ years)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience including GAAP, SOX, GTN
  • Preferred industry experience: production, research, manufacturing
  • Experience with an ERP system

Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Audit experience
  • Experience with NetSuite
Job Summary/Description: The Finance team relies heavily on the Senior Accounting Manager, who plays a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of our financial systems and processes. This position, reporting directly to the Controller, holds significant responsibility in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Here's a restatement of the responsibilities and required expertise:

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Controller in timely and accurate completion of all month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Coordinate with various departments to monitor the progress of long-term projects for monthly accrual entries.
  • Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring timely and accurate recording of inventory transactions.
  • Reconcile inventory records with general ledger and contract manufacturer reports on a monthly basis.
  • Aid in the annual audit and quarterly review processes.
  • Draft monthly financial statements.
  • Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules in the ERP system.
  • Handle monthly lease accounting entries.
  • Assist in reviewing and recording gross-to-net (GTN) related entries.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and projects as necessary.
  • Facilitate Finance onboarding of new suppliers, including W-9 collection.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
