With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our procurement operations. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing our procurement processes and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Epicor ERP and possess strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities of the SR Epicor Buyer/Supply Chain SME:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure high-quality automotive components, raw materials, and services while optimizing costs and supplier relationships.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage a portfolio of suppliers, maintaining strong relationships, and monitoring their performance to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings while ensuring adherence to quality and delivery requirements.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete materials.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures, market trends, and supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Epicor ERP Utilization: Utilize Epicor ERP software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in procurement activities, including environmental, ethical, and quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and engineering, to understand their needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization, working with the procurement team to implement best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Buyer in an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using Epicor ERP for procurement and inventory management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
