Location: Houston, TX 


Must Haves:
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time nationally.
  • 2-5 years of experience recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in the Construction industry, with previous experience hiring craft workers.
  • Experience using Outlook, Microsoft Office suite and Excel.

Preferred:
  • Experience working with HR databases and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.
  •  Experience working with Taleo is a plus
  • Experience working with Oracle is a plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred 


 Job Summary/Description:
Screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Very Fast paced (I.e., can hire up to 20-30 employees in 1-2 days for a project). Scheduling drug test, running backgrounds, entering data, scheduling physicals, updating recruiting and call log reports, hitting, working as a team, and making sure that their assigned projects are staffed with the proper craft workers.

The Recruiter will also be traveling, as mentioned, up to 50%. When a job starts up, we will be out there laying the land, networking, and advertising/marketing.

The Recruiter ensures our company and project grows strong talent pipeline by attracting, hiring, and retaining the best employees. This position will use various channels to proactively find candidates, contact passive candidates to help build talent pipelines for future needs and help managers find skilled and talented employees. The recruiter will travel to different project sites to recruit, source, onboard and manage candidates according to requisitions. 
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies focused on creating and maintaining a strong pipeline of active and passive talent.
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, including screening, interviewing candidates, and completing references
  • Utilize creative sourcing techniques to reach both active and passive talent through internal database and external including employment agencies, colleges, professional networks, social media, cold calling, boots on the ground and other recruitment channels.
  • Work closely with hiring managers on staffing needs, prescreen candidates, interview, prepare salary offers and candidate closeout, as well as manage applicant flow.
  • Processes multiple open job requisitions at a time.
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring manager and candidate to understand their hiring goals, priorities, and needs.
  • Attends and participates in recruitment events, job fairs, and conferences as needed.
  • Maintain and processes employee data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidates and job stages.
  • Conducts operational and administrative portions of the hire process (background checks, sets up drug screen, health screen, assist with site specific requirements, I9 & E-Verify compliance)
  • Onboards new hires to include employment paperwork, and distribution of PPE.
  • Create target hot lists and leads and stay connected with past applicants regarding new job opportunities.
  • Ensure recruiting efforts are executed to support diversity and inclusion in our workforce.
  • Demonstrate effective resource planning, results delivery, and maintain awareness of current industry trends.
  • Completion of weekly report on recruiting activity goals
  • Proactive partnership with the HR Craft team when an employee or hiring manager issue is identified.
  • Maintain confidentiality relating to files containing personal sensitive information.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements associated with sourcing employees and applicants.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time nationally.
