Job Description


 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

· Cash Receipt Recording - post interest and related fee cash receipts into the subsidiary ledger and database (Mortgage Office) – subsequently prepare the general ledger journal entries (Quick Books).

· Bank Reconciliations - Reconcile various bank accounts on a monthly basis. Track interest Reserve account and tie out to subsidiary ledger.

· Generate ACH payments – Set-up and maintenance of borrower bank account details. On a monthly basis, generate an ACH debit batch from Mortgage Office and import details into banking system.

· Reconciliation – Reconcile loan master status sheet in mortgage office to quick books GL balance.  Reconcile investor contributions in mortgage office to quick books.

· Billing Statements - Prepare and cause to deliver loans receivable billing statements.

· New Loan Deposits - Track, monitor, and maintain all cash deposits made to the company.

· Amortization Schedules - Prepare amortization and payment schedules to borrowers and funding partners upon request.

· Loan Confirmations – Complete loan respond to audit requests from outside entities and other general inquiries

· Manage Payables - Transfer or cause to transfer distributions, dividends, fee payments or reimbursement, interest payable payment, and selected borrower payments.

· Financial Reporting - Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with periodic reporting, as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

·      A bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 3 years of experience with loans receivable, cash receipts processing, and general ledger accounting is required.

·      This position requires attention to detail and a team approach to working with all Finance and Lending staff in managing the work of the department and frequent contact with funding partners and outside parties.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·      Strong analytical skills

·      Proficiency in G/L accounting software (Quick Books preferred), Mortgage Office, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook; familiarity with other databases a plus
