Job Summary:
In this role, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across our production processes. You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving product quality, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and root causes of quality issues.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process control plans (PCPs).
- Participate in the development and implementation of new food safety programs and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements for food safety.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure quality throughout the production process.
- Train and mentor production personnel on quality control principles and procedures.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities related to quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain quality control metrics and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality control or continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in identifying and solving quality problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies (a plus).
- Experience with food safety regulations (HACCP preferred).
- This role is going to have a heavy emphasis on quality improvements from incoming raw materials through end product and dealing with customer complaints and root cause analysis. The right person for this role will be on the floor during production, identifying quality issues and developing strategies to ensure product quality is met and ready for consumption. This could include adjustments with how a product is produced, packaged, etc.
- The Quality Engineer will also support current production, root cause and continuous improvement activities
- This individual will have to have strong communication and ability to interface customers and deal with customer complaints
- Quality Lead in providing quality support in design, development, and changes to the manufacturing processes
- Drive successful execution in collaboration with leadership of quality and compliance strategies and annual Quality Goals Partner with R&D and Quality teams to drive excellence in product quality and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and quality issues and make recommendations to improve the production process based on findings from quality analysis
- Collaboration across multiple departments, which is critical for the successful implementation of the corrective actions
- Have a hand in ensuring current and future processes and procedures within plant quality adhere to all food safety requirements

- Crispy Crunchy: Fried vegetables, Tortillas, & Tortilla chips/strips
- The Georgia facility will deal with Dry foods & toppings
- They do food processing, MFG, & Distribution
