Description:
- Project management of internal engineering design teams, previous experience performing enginering design (schematics, power one lines, wiring diagrams). Utility space ideally. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. PMP or Professional Engineer preferred. Electrical Engineering or similar degree required. 7+ years of experience, ideally in engineering consulting, electric utilities, or telecommunication providers.
- Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.
- Provide managerial direction and work assignments to telecommunication & network engineering project managers.
- Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
- Provide performance feedback to department managers for project team members as appropriate.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight and judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Identify opportunities and manage team efforts for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiation, and related activities.
- Write articles and/or make conference presentations for marketing purposes.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from accredited program. Minimum 7 years related experience in design engineering, including 3 years or more project management
- Previous consulting engineering experience is preferred. An advanced degree and/or professional designations (Professional Engineer license) are desirable.
- Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- The ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
- Demonstrated success in project management.
- Proficiency in the use of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
