Payroll Tax Analyst
4 months; temp to perm
Hybrid - 3 days in office; 2 days remote after the first 6 weeks.

$33 - 38hr 
 
Must Have: 
  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Business or Accounting
  • 3+ years of recent experience in federal, multi-state, local, and NRA taxation, payments and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred:
  • Higher education and/or non-profit industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting preferred
  • Certification in Payroll/Accounts Payable preferred 
  • 5+ years of recent experience
  • Banner/Ellucian, TaxNav, or SOVOS/LTtax Filing Software experience, is highly desirable
Job Summary:
A leading university is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join the team on a 4 month contract to hire basis. This candidate should have a strong foundation tax filing. With deep knowledge in tax requirements for multi-state and local jurisdictions. Daily duties will include; tax account registrations, timely tax remittances and monthly tax accounting reconciliations. They should have experience in NRA taxation. As well as performing quarterly and annual tax return preparation; filing 941, 945, 1042, W-2, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1042-S forms. This work will involve working on amendments for both the Payroll and Accounts Payable Departments.
