LIMS – STARLIMS Business Analyst – (Remote) – 1st week onsite – CA
Public Health Lab provider seeks a STARLIMS Business Analyst for a 4+ month remote contract with 1-week initial travel to California client. The remainder of the contract is 100% remote. This requires 3+ years of STARLIMS Business Analysis in Clinical, Environmental, Newborn Genetics Testing or Toxicology (Client will not consider candidates with Pharma or Biotech experience). Additionally, this person will have technical STARLIMS configuration expertise and some project management. Primary function of this individual will be to face with end users to gather and author requirements and write reports. I-Connect Lab Web Portal expertise is a plus. Opportunity offers a primarily remote contract with potential extensions and some travel. This requires STARLIMS experience and if this is lacking we will not be able to move forward.

Responsibilities:
- Gathering business requirements from users, designing solutions and rolling these out ensuring thorough understanding and support throughout.
- Authoring associated documentation to include business requirements, SOPs, workflows, step-by-step processes, use cases, user stories and other required documentation.
- Performing business analysis for Clinical, Environmental, Newborn Genetics Testing and Toxicology, with a history of working within 1 or more of these areas.
- Utilizing Business Requirements to ensure STARLIMS LIMS solutions are developed within system and that user is satisfied with end functionality and understands utilization properly.
- Performing hands-on technical LIMS configuration having done this prior.
- Serving as Project Manager as needed to assist in the management of projects, timelines, and properly setting expectations along the way.
- Performing reporting writing as required by user needs.
- Assisting in driving improvement projects as required.
Requirements:
- Green Card Holder or US Citizen; location within the states.
- Ability and willingness to travel for 1-week to gather business requirements
- 3+ years STARLIMS Business Analysis expertise.
- 1+ year within laboratories to include Clinical, Environmental, Newborn Genetics Testing or Toxicology, extensive laboratory process expertise within these areas.
- Successfully serving as Business Analyst on STARLIMS implementations.
- Strong exposure to authoring documentation.
- Strong communication with users to include listening capabilities and written and verbal communication.
- Ideally a history of performing hands-on STARLIMS Technical Configurations and Crystal Reporting.
- Exposure to I-Connect Lab Web Portal is desired but not required.
