Instructional Designer Location: Remote
Schedule: 40 hours
Pay: Up to $60.20 per hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Instructional Designer to join our well known Fortune 50 client on a 4-month contract. This role is full-time and fully remote.

Instructional Designer Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the global Learning and Development team for strategic planning and curriculum creation to enhance internal staff learning programs.
  • Create courses from start to finish in the entire ADDIE process.
  • Design and develop courses for ILT, SGT, and vILT.
  • Design engaging eLearning storyboards and oversee the entire review and editing process to create customized content.
  • Develop interactive eLearning courses using Captivate and publish them in our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Work in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere and After Effects to produce engaging and quality instructional videos with closed captions. 
  • Act as a trusted learning advisor within the department, determining the most effective modalities for each course in a comprehensive onboarding curriculum.
  • Conduct ongoing needs analyses, considering the impact on learners, development timelines, and overall business outcomes.
  • Write and organize content in the Knowledge Center, ensuring its relevance and practical application for employees on the job. 
Instructional Designer Key Qualifications:
  •  Experience: 3-5 years of eLearning development experience using Captivate or a combination of Storyline and Captivate.
  • Methodology: Proficient in using the ADDIE model for content development and SAM.
  • Multimedia Skills: Hands-on experience in video development using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.
  • Training Programs: Prior experience in creating curriculums, onboarding, or multi-departmental training programs.
  • Education: B.A./B.S. degree required or equivalent experience. 
Instructional Designer Preferred Qualities:
  • Self-Starter: Proven ability to independently own and drive eLearning projects from analysis and storyboarding through development.
  • Organized and Methodical: Possess an organized, methodical personality with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
