Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team for a nine-month contract position. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical and administrative skills to provide end-user support, manage IT systems, and enhance the overall tech support experience for our end-users. Due to unsatisfactory service quality from our current MSP, we need someone who can improve the quality of tech support provided to our end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-user support and desktop support, including configuring laptops and standardizing builds for each department
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires, including user setup, support, termination, and login issue resolution
- Collaborate with vendors and participate in purchasing IT goods and services
- Perform financial spreadsheet work and IT-related systems inventory tasks
- Develop and write IT policies and procedures
- Work with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365
- Monitor and respond to incoming support requests, triage issues, and coordinate with appropriate team members to resolve problems
- Over-communicate with end-users to ensure their satisfaction with tech support and direct the MSP in improving their service quality
Requirements:
- At least five years of IT experience, including desktop support and system administration
- Strong communication, writing, and administrative skills
- Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and technical documentation
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365; Business applications and basic networking skills are a plus
- Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction and communicate effectively with end-users
- Experience in correcting and improving MSP service quality is desirable
