Events Assistant
6 month contract
Cambridge, MA
Pay Range: $31.50-$34.50/hr
Must Haves:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous Events Management Experience
  • The position demands flexibility and the desire to learn all facets of department events.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with the ability to multitask.
Preferred: 
  • Higher Education industry experience
Job Summary/Description:

The Event Assistant is a key support member of the Events team and provides logistical and administrative support for a high number of departmental events. Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the primary function of this position is to provide critical event support and exceptional guest services.
  • The Event Assistant will be asked to serve as main point of contact for vendors, execute event set-up and clean up, and oversee the maintenance of the facilities used by the department.
  • The Event Assistant organizes event documentation and works closely with the administrative coordinator to process post-event materials including receipts and invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned, including front office coverage, financial transactions and other administrative needs.

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous Events Management Experience
