Integrated Volt Var Control (IVVC) Engineering Design Associate (EDA)

The EDA for the IVVC program will provide work management system (Maximo), work order tracker entry, Power BI report use, and general support to Project Managers.
The EDA will function as a key member of a high-performance project team.

Candidates must have strong computer systems knowledge and skills.
Candidates should have the capability to work with independence to meet team requirements and deadlines.

This position is accountable for providing accurate and timely work results which support safety, reliability, storm restoration, and cost management while providing quality customer service. Major responsibilities and specific job duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Performs work management system (Maximo)Design Tool entry including work order date management.
  • Maximo support and general support to Project Managers and management of various system reports.
  • Ensures work order (WO) integrity and works with project managers to clear errors by submitting IT tickets and WO cancellations as needed.
  • Works with key project stakeholders to ensure successful progression of work within the program. This includes troubleshooting and initiating contact with various internal groups to ensure results are achieved.
  • Attends all team meetings and provides weekly status on WO integrity, date management and other metrics as needed. Meets regularly with Project Managers to ensure.
  • Supports key program initiatives such as IVVC enablement and other efforts as needed.
  • Prepares for and provides storm support as needed.
  • Supports Human Performance safety culture through active participation in safety meetings
  • Follows ergonomics and office safety guidelines
  • Supports corporate initiatives
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and development

Basic/Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree OR 5 years of work experience using multiple computer platforms in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office suite proficiency in computer-based work management systems (Maximo)
  • Demonstrates excellent customer skills
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborates effectively in a team environment
  • Exhibits flexibility and dependability during storm events and regular work
  • Effectively manages multiple time sensitive assignments and deadlines

Desired Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in technical field of study
  • One to three years of providing customer service support
  • Knowledgeable of Power, Quality, Reliability & Integrity processes, work management system (Maximo), and related computer applications.
