Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and track work packages, including reviewing and approving them for completeness ahead of construction start.
- As needed, reviewing approved work packages with Complex Construction Supervisors ahead of construction start.
- Ensure work package closeout procedures are followed and track As-built for completion and mapping.
- Reporting directly to the Lead Planner. Additional responsibility will be added as candidate evolves into position.
- Must have ability to review engineering design drawings and to provide construction input to the design team to identify potential construction issues.
- Must be able to develop detailed construction sequence based on the design criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, in an engineering or construction discipline and/or 5 to 8 years significant equivalent experience in the gas construction management environment.
- Gas Construction experience includes gas transmission, regulator station, and gas distribution construction with focus on design.
- New York State Intern Engineer Certification or Professional Engineering License preferred but not required.
- Ability to assess potential conflicts by reviewing construction drawings and provide solutions to the project team.
- Must be able to work in a cross functional role to assist in developing the construction plan with the Lead Planner, Lead Supervisors and Construction Managers.
