Email Operations Specialist (QA)

Location: 100% Remote
Pay Rate: Up to $44/hour depending on experience
Duration: ~9 Months; 40 hours a week

Our client, an established Retailer, is looking for an Email Operations Specialist to sit on their Digital Commerce Operations team. This role is heavily focused on the QA lifecycle of email workflows. This assignment will be 100% Remote, but will need to have someone working EST hours. The Email Operations Specialist will be working 40 hours a week and this role could extend for the right fit. 

Email Operations Specialist (QA)
  • Review high volume email content and ensuring that it meets the requirements.
  • Ensure that promotional language and creative matches the requirements.
  • Own the QA process for certain projects and provide thorough documentation.
  • Work closely with email producers to perform reviews and QA on content builds, render checks, and test scenarios.
  • Check proofs against wireframes and asset tracker to ensure appropriate business requirements are met.
  • Maintain and route email proof workflows to cross functional partners for approval.
  • Check Movable Ink & Salesforce Marketing Cloud technical setup aligns with the marketing strategy.
  • Define and review test cases for dynamic email experiences in testing.
  • Raise, document, triage defects alongside producers utilizing QA tracking documents.
  • Define testing requirements and scope for daily marketing deployments.
  • Ongoing research and testing recommendations based off of email client market share against email list open rates.
  • Plan and execute production test activities to validate triggered/transactional emails and template updates in marketing deployments immediately following a production release.
  • Participate in requirement gathering.
  • Contribute feedback and QA estimation sizing.
  • Assist UAT Business Partner needs/testing during facilitation of final User Acceptance Testing
  • Report overall test prep and execution progress metrics/data to the Comm Ops Manager.

Email Operations Specialist Required Skills:
  • 2+ years experience within the email operations space or within QA.
  • HTML coding experience to understand email changes and review process.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Moveable ink.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience testing mobile apps, digital websites, or marketing/transactional emails.
  • Experienced facilitating/supporting UAT, QA test phases such as integration, system testing, etc.
  • Excels at working in a project environment and on cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
