Location: REMOTE (EST preferred) 
Pay Rate: Up to $40/hr based on experience

Planet Interactive's F500 Financial Services client has a HOT need for a Copywriter + Editor for a 6 month REMOTE contract assignment with a minimum of 3 years of experience writing a range of materials from event agendas, emails, white papers, shortform and longform articles, social media, marketing decks and materials, script writing, and more.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with creative teams, business leaders and subject matter experts to execute written content that supports the firm’s business strategies 
  • Revise existing materials, ensuring consistent branding and messaging, to maximize impact across marketing initiatives and business development
  • Adhere to existing brand guidelines including tone, voice and research-tested messaging architecture to maintain consistency
  • Copy edit and proofread print and digital content to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Translate and version complex financial and workplace topics into digestible pieces that appeal to the target market or audience
  • Find and cite qualified references for articles, white papers and case studies
  • Draft language for video scripts, on-screen narratives, ad copy, social posts, blog articles, client communications, graphic briefs, marketing materials and other content as needed
  • Adeptly navigate systems for project management and collaboration according to team processes
  • Manage rigorous editorial, subject matter and regulatory review process for content products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a related field
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary discretion and judgment
  • Knowledge and experience with financial concepts and the finance industry required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, free of grammatical errors
  • Proven copy-editing skills
  • Ability to translate complex topics into easily-understood copy using multiple voices and styles
  • Knowledge of and experience with the nuances of multi-channel (print, web, email, social, video, audio) content
  • Experience in compliance-driven environment is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple projects and switch gears based on project prioritization
  • Personal commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines
