Job Description

My client is looking for a Construction Manager to manage a solar project ranging from 100MW-300MW. 

Years of Experience: 
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience managing substation construction
Managing projects between 100MW-300MW
Work Schedule: M-F


Interview Process: screened by HR then a meeting with the hiring team.

Responsibility
  • Supervise 5 to 25 employees
  • Attend management meetings
  • Must maintain courteous and effective working relationships with clients, vendors and/or any other representatives of external organizations.
  • Responsible for site construction, management of subcontracts, manage contract terms and conditions, installation, schedule, logistics, safety, quality and constructability of all aspects of substation and underground construction.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reports the on-site construction activities
  • Responsible to manage sub-contractors to insure the project scope is built in full conformance with the plans, specifications, schedule and budget.



Required
  • High energy level and enthusiasm;
  • Strong level of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written;
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft Office based programs;
  • Ability to handle confidential information;
  • Ability to travel
  • Work experience tracking and updating CPM schedules, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, review of ongoing work at the site, attendance of  meetings and project coordination with the costumer;
  • Sense of urgency & ability to meet deadlines (self-directed)
