Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer with experience in Remediation site design to work as an integral part of a design team as lead engineer or task leader in the study, evaluation, design, and implementation of demolition projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mid- to Senior-level technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies, design, and implementation of environmental infrastructure projects.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio and/or other states with the ability to obtain an Ohio license within 6 months.
- Required to travel (up to 25%).
- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
- Valid driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, with a desire to work as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and coordinate among multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Demonstrate ability to develop technical and design documents following client and local and/or federal code requirements.
- Familiar with standard engineering practices, construction, and operation techniques, principles, and procedures associated with industrial facilities.
- Demonstrate experience in solid waste management, including design and/or closure of landfills and other solid and/or liquid waste impoundments.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize numerous ongoing tasks while delegating and managing staff carrying out these tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Demonstrate ability to perform quality control review of design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
