Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
CAD support:
• Provide CAD/Admin support for plant and division engineering in support of large manufacturing facilities. CAD projects will include multiple facility and/or engineering disciplines (e.g., architectural, mechanical, civil, process, etc.)
• Demonstrate ability to complete engineering mark-ups, plant line layouts and update P&IDs that depict processing systems and related utilities (electrical, water, wastewater, etc.).
• Read and understand construction 2D and 3D drawings
• Support 3D Models of production systems and facilities
• Interact with engineers to translate specifications and requests into drawings
• Document drawing changes made by engineering, manufacturing and maintenance staff
• Maintain as-built drawings created by oneself or by vendors
• In partnership with others, identify drawings affected by engineering projects
• Determine the accuracy of drawings and initiate corrections when discrepancies are found
• Support the Validation program affecting multiple facilities, processes, and equipment in support of capital project needs
• Maintain control of drawings through the division drawing management system, using formal check-out/check-in processes in support of project and vendor-held drawings
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Drawing Standards and support process improvement efforts as needed
• Demonstrate expertise with AutoCAD (familiarity with any 3D software such as Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc. is a plus)
Document Control:
• Make use of the team's SharePoint site to support capital project document libraries
• Maintain division-led capital project records while working closely with the project managers and engineers
Partnership with the North American Team:
• Support Division-level Project Managers/Engineers and site-level CAD staff
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
• High school education or equivalent
• Proficient in MS-Office applications and familiar with SharePoint site usage
• 3+ years of CAD experience in a production design/drafting environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• High degree of confidence, with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills and an ability to set priorities
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic, changing environment
