This role will assist the Product Owner of their eCommerce site with the operation, optimization, and support of this critical sales channel. The website is a B2B eCommerce offering for US Animal Health Pets business and is used by thousands of veterinary clinics to order pet parasiticides, therapeutics and vaccines. It also serves as a one-stop customer portal to enable clinics to view order history, manage and pay invoices, track rebates, view loyalty program details, and much more.
This role is fully remote and starting as a 6 month contract with the high potential to extend or convert to a FTE.

Job Description

Pay Rate: Up to $37/hr depending on experience
Product Owner Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Product Owner as required for the translation of bugs or feature requests into user stories, and the refinement and prioritization of the product backlog.
- Collaborate with Marketing to define content plans and updates, consult on UX and creative decisions, administrate content updates via the CMS (Magento), shepherd content through a formal review process, and publish updated content to the production site.
- Perform testing (UAT & Regression Testing) as required for any coding or configuration changes made to the site or supporting ecosystem, document test execution results (JIRA & HP ALM) and log bugs.
- Conduct troubleshooting for technical issues to identify and communicate root cause analysis and support customer care as required for escalations. Collaborate with other business and technical teams on the resolution of these incidents and assist the Product Owner on appropriate stakeholder communications
- Ensure operational excellence through periodic monitoring, web analytics, site log reviews, and discussions with customer care and support functions.
Product Owner Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, another related field or equivalent professional experience
- eCommerce and Magento experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience administrating a web application, including users, content, and configuration via a CMS (Magento and/or Drupal preferred)
- Experience working with web application delivery, testing, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity of integration methods of distributed web applications (e.g. REST APIs)
- Working knowledge of Scrum and writing user stories (JIRA & Confluence experience preferred)
- Solid understanding of digital user experience (UX) and customer needs
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues
- Experience working cross-functionally with geographically distributed teams
- Strong presenting, writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivator, focused on delivering solutions for business benefit
