The Assistant Registrar will assist in all aspects of the daily operation of the Registrar's Office, including working with the Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS) Registrar in tasks related to student records, academic performance, and registration activities.

- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-3 years of related experience, and at least 1 year of experience in higher education
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Proficient with standard office equipment and computer programs/software
- Experience working with diverse populations
Description:
The Assistant Registrar will assist in all aspects of the daily operation of the Registrar's Office, including working with the Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS) Registrar in tasks related to student records, academic performance, and registration activities.
Essential Functions:
- Execute activities central to the maintenance of student registration and academic records, including managing and implementing all activities required for PhD dissertation submissions and defenses, as well as master's thesis submissions.
- Responsible for managing and implementing Summer, Fall and Spring course scheduling for all GMS programs.
- Contribute to review, verification and accuracy of official transcripts and forms imported to OnBase, Adobe Acrobat, Degree Advice or other applicable platforms.
- Strengthen and improve the GMS educational experience by providing expert advice concerning graduation requirements, course choices, university policies and academic progress to faculty, as well as new, continuing and potential students in a variety of degree, non-degree and certificate programs.
- Manage office maintenance including facilities and supplies.
- The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of related experience, and at least one year of experience in higher education.
- A bachelor’s degree and experience working with diverse populations is a strong plus.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail, strong technical skills, including database and data analysis skills, customer service skills and demonstrated ability to resolve difficult situations diplomatically.
