Job Location: New York NY 10027
Hours: 35 hour work week
Hybrid - 3 days in office; 2 days remote after the first 6 weeks.
9am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch

A leading university is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor who will supervise/oversee the AP team and efficiently manage payment processing for vendors and employee expense reimbursements. Reporting to AP Associate Director and Disbursements Financial Analyst to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements. This position will supervise 2 full time employees.They will manage/delegate work to the team from Unimarket, Chrome River, and from all manual sources. As a supervisor this individual will have to Ensure 2-way matching is being done between the Purchasing Department and Accounts Payable department. Managing payment processing for vendor, and expenses for employee reimbursement. Other duties include overseeing uncollected checks/escheatment process; responding to audit/ad hoc requests as necessary and escalate issues as needed. The AP Supervisor will work to resolve 1099/1042S issues with vendors and IRS.

- Associate's degree
- 3 to 5 years of full cycle processing in Accounts Payable experience
- Experience as a supervisor or team leadership
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Banner software
- University/Higher ed experience
