Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining financial records for the company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, reviewing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards. Responsibilities: Review and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors. Manage and reconcile financial accounts. Review and analyze financial reports, and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles. Prepare financial statements and reports for auditors and regulatory agencies. Provide financial analysis and support for various projects and initiatives.
For this position ideally, we need someone in Des Moines with availability to be in the office for the three day in office requirement to support the team and train. Then it would be two days remote. Currently the reporting team is in office Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
We are looking for significant Stat reporting experience and not entry level as this is more of team leader level and provides financial statement review.

- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of Statutory accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
