Location: Hybrid - Fulton St, NY
Must Haves:
Accounting Manager out of at Start-Up (Software ideally or technology). Start-Up environment is important
Must have Payroll experience to process for 45+ EE’s. They use ADP, but not required.
Preferred:
Payroll processing for Domestic and International (Canadian)
Job Summary:
· Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
· Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data input, verification, and distribution of paychecks
· Generate and analyze financial reports to support management in making informed business decisions
· Prepare and submit required financial reports to regulatory authorities
· Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and maintain data integrity
· Serve as liaison to employees and 3rd party vendors to ensure payroll is accurate
· Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
· Experience in a similar start-up environment
· In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
