Senior Director Finance
Direct Hire
Hybrid, at least 2 days onsite, San Diego

Salary range: $220,000-250,000 DOE plus bonus

Must have:
Bachelors degree
10+ years of progressive growth in Financial Leadership roles
Proven experience leading global budgeting, forecasting and long range planning
Experience in Manufacturing company - ideally medical device or life sciences
Strength in working with Sr Leadership and leading change/change management
Understanding of PPV from MFG and its impact

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director of Finance to oversea our global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance, long-range planning, and strategic decision-making across a complex, global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes aligned to strategic objectives

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis vs. plan and prior year

  • Provide actionable insights on financial trends, business performance, risks, and opportunities

  • Develop and enhance KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level reporting to improve visibility and decision-making

  • Drive continuous improvement of financial models, planning tools, and forecasting accuracy

  • Build scalable, efficient FP&A processes to support a growing global business

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, R&D, and other functional leaders to align financial and business goals

  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, influencing sound business decisions at all levels

  • Support corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and new entity formation

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global FP&A team

  • Maintain strong knowledge and application of GAAP in financial planning and reporting
