Utility Inspector II
Location: Royal Oak, MI (Onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $26-28/hour, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Utility Inspector II to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract, working an onsite schedule from Royal Oak, MI.
Utility Inspector II | Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass operator qualification (OQ) testing during training to become qualified to perform work in field.
- This job is considered “safety sensitive” and is subject to pre-employment background check and drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.
- Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day on various terrain and various weather conditions carrying a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime if needed by the Company.
- Must be familiar with using a smart phone with apps to collect field data.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Have strong communication skills and pay attention to details.
- Conduct leak surveys using sensitive equipment.
- Identify and report abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) and leaks.
- Patrol and inspect infrastructure.
- Document and report findings accurately.
- Provide seamless customer service through customer interaction to address utility-related concerns.
- Operating motor vehicle and performing work safely in the field.
- Additional duties: Occasional daytime advanced methane detection driving required as well
