Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Olive Township, MI (Onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $36-38/hour, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract, working an onsite schedule from Olive Township, MI.
Maintenance Supervisor | Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
- Broad Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/electrical engineering field or related preferred [OR] Associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering field or related and 4+ years of experience supporting maintenance activities [OR] High School diploma and 6+ years of experience supporting maintenance activities
- Ability to manage and motivate subordinates
- Ability to solve practical problems, to clearly communicate tasks and needs, and to train other personnel. Ability to analyze and to interpret data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations
- Able to deal with a diverse workforce
- Demonstrates the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, and technical manuals
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of power plant maintenance, including a working knowledge of the operations & maintenance functions
- Prepare reports on the performance of subordinates.
- Maintain time and production records
- Develop or revise maintenance procedures and schedules in consultation with production and engineering personnel
- Investigate complaints about machinery operation and discuss with operators any problems revealed.
- Perform or oversee the preventive maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned or as may become necessary.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
- Schedule and assign work to subordinates, accounting for such factors as workload, skills of employees, and machine capabilities
- Train new or reassigned employees in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
