The Planet Group have recently been engaged by an established Consulting firm to secure a Workday Security Consultant in Europe. (Remote working) On offer is a 6–12-month contract full time. The successful candidate will be a freelancer based in Europe. 

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Workday Security Functional Consultant to support the redesign of Workday security roles and contribute to broader HRIS project activities. The mission involves reviewing existing security configurations, leading functional workshops with HR leadership, defining new governance standards, and supporting the Work Package Manager (WPM) throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a seasoned HRIS professional with strong Workday knowledge, excellent facilitation skills, and solid experience in project and stakeholder coordination.

Key Requirements:

• Review and analyse existing Workday roles and associated audit results.
• Identify gaps, duplications, risks, and governance issues.
• Collaborate closely with HR, operational, and IT stakeholders to understand business practices and needs.
• Facilitate workshops with the HR Management Committee to validate strategic directions for role redesign.
• Conduct detailed requirements gathering workshops with relevant teams.
• Produce clear and structured functional specifications to guide the creation and governance of redesigned security roles.
• Prepare unit test plans and perform functional tests in collaboration with IT.

Key Skills:

• Skilled in Business Analysis, Project Management support and Testing UAT.
• Experience working on HRIS implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong expertise in Workday or similar HR SaaS platforms.
• Excellent understanding of HRIS security models, including roles, profiles, and access governance.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops and supporting change management initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate HR needs into clear functional requirements.
• Deep knowledge of UAT processes: test scenario design, facilitation, defect tracking, reporting.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Autonomous, organized, detail oriented, and comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.

Key Deliverables:

• Summary report of current practices and business needs.
• Detailed functional specifications for Workday security role redesign.
• Workshop materials, minutes, and synthesis documents.
• UAT plan, test scenarios, and execution tracking tools.
• Consolidated report on UAT results, including analysis and recommendations.
