Are you passionate about building resilient cloud environments that power mission-critical ERP systems? Our client, a well-established, multi-site enterprise undergoing major ERP modernization, is seeking an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in optimizing and scaling Epicor ERP workloads in Azure.

This is a hands-on opportunity to own cloud infrastructure strategy, drive automation, and ensure high availability and performance across complex Epicor environments. If you thrive in fast-moving transformation initiatives and enjoy making a measurable impact, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Impact)
  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure supporting Epicor ERP and Epicor-hosted applications
  • Optimize performance through capacity planning, tuning, and rightsizing
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Log Analytics
  • Strengthen cloud security and governance (RBAC, networking, policies, compliance)
  • Drive cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives across Azure environments
  • Partner with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable deployments
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies
  • Document architectures, standards, and operational procedures

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud / DevOps Engineer in Azure
  • Strong understanding of Epicor ERP architecture, performance tuning, or cloud hosting
  • Deep experience with Azure services (VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, AAD)
  • Proven experience with CI/CD, Git, and release automation
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
  • Solid networking knowledge (DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing, ExpressRoute)
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Epicor ERP performance troubleshooting or scalability optimization
  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, DevOps Engineer Expert)
  • Experience with AKS, containers, or microservices
  • SQL performance tuning in ERP environments
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cost management / FinOps

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • High-visibility role supporting large-scale ERP upgrades and cloud transformation
  • Work with a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values expertise and ownership
  • Opportunity to influence architecture decisions and long-term cloud strategy
  • Contract-to-hire potential with strong leadership support
  • Remote flexibility with project-based travel

Hourly rate: $120,000-$140,000 (or equivalent hourly rate)
