 Hybrid: Two days onsite. 3 days remote. 


Backend Software Engineer 

Join our dynamic hybrid team as a Backend Software Engineer and play a key role in developing and integrating our core applications. You will be responsible for building robust C#/.NET APIs that interface with our core banking systems and other enterprise applications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain robust C#/.NET APIs that support critical backend and back office applications.

  • Integrate APIs with SQL Server and various other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow.

  • Participate actively in code reviews, comprehensive testing, and performance tuning initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with development and business teams to gather requirements and refine application functionality.

  • Support ongoing application health through troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundational skill set, listed here in order of priority:

  • MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO MADISON, WI OR MILWAUKEE, WI
  • Strong understanding of API integration patterns and back-end architecture. Must possess the ability to effectively design and build the API layer to integrate various applications.
  • Experience working with Core Banking Systems.

  • Proven hands-on experience developing C#/.NET APIs.

  • 4 years of relevant professional experience (Minimum).

  • Entity Framework Core Experience.

  • Proficiency in SQL Server, including writing and optimizing complex queries.

  1. Exposure to supporting dynamic internal or enterprise applications.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of secure API design and authentication best practices.

  • Experience working in the Cloud (specifically Azure).

  • Experience working with microservices and databases.

  • Experience working in hybrid work settings with cross-functional teams.
