Job Description

The Planet Group is seeking a Videographer/Photographer with editing skills to assist one of our medical device client's Learning & Development team.

The Videographer/Photographer will produce a series of instructional training videos. This project will involve filming six short equipment training videos across several Chicago-area locations and delivering polished, edited content by early January 2026.
  • Location: Chicago, IL (On-Site Filming) | Remote (Editing)
  • Project Duration: December 2025-January 2026
  • Pay Rate: $50–$75/hour depending on experience
Videographer/Photographer Responsibilities
  • Film six (6) instructional training videos, approximately 15 minutes each.
  • Capture still photography of equipment and environments as needed.
  • Provide own professional camera equipment; lighting may be required depending on site conditions.
  • Film at 2-4 nearby manufacturing and distribution locations within the Chicago area.
  • Record on-site only (no voiceover, dialogue, or audio capture required).
  • Follow detailed scripts and shot lists provided by the client Learning and development team.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff to ensure all products are properly staged, assembled, and ready for filming.
  • Edit all six videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring clear, professional, and visually consistent final deliverables.
  • Perform light post-production adjustments (color correction, trimming, transitions, etc.), no advanced effects required.
  • Deliver final edited videos by early January 2026.
  • Maintain organized file management and coordinate handoffs with the internal team.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project status, edits, and scheduling.
Videographer/Photographer Qualifications: 
  • Proven experience producing and editing corporate, instructional, or product training videos.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required).
  • Strong camera operation and lighting setup skills; must provide own camera and basic lighting equipment.
  • Experience filming in industrial, manufacturing, or equipment-based environments preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Comfortable following scripts, storyboards, and direction from subject matter experts.
  • Based in or able to travel to Chicago, IL for on-site filming in December 2025.
  • Able to work remotely for editing and post-production.
  • Ability to complete both filming and editing phases to ensure a consistent final product.
