The Planet Group is looking for a Senior Global Supply Planner to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 7-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR, working onsite Monday-Thursday and working from home on Friday.
Senior Global Supply Planner Qualifications:
5+ YOE in Supply Planning, working directly with demand planning teams and manufacturing - buying from the supply/factory side NOT retail buying
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of proven experience, education and training in Supply Chain
Understands data points for product batch runs, determining the lead time, following compliance with production capacity with factories and what the demand planning team needs, finding demand expectations and supply reality
SAP expert, knows SAP logic paths, can understand outputs, can troubleshoot if the data doesn't match expectations
Proficient in end-to-end supply chain
Strong storyteller, can explain technical topics to a wide range of audiences
Experience influencing teams and outcomes, delivering bad news when expectations are not possible
Ability to provide constructive feedback and is solution oriented on how to move forward
Has related industry experience with supply chain and inventory planning
Related industries: Finished goods, short lifecycle products, high (500+) SKU products - seasons, color ways, etc.
Excellent written, spoken and visual communication skills
Flexibility in switching from strategic to tactical and operational levels of thinking and working
Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and cross-culturally, specifically building positive relationships between key players and immediate team
High proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros)
Tolerance for a sophisticated, ever-changing and dynamic work environment
Ability to demonstrate good decision making in ambiguous circumstances
Experience preferred with Tableau, Cognos, SSAS, MMX, SAP
Experience preferred in supply/inventory planning and management, marketplace planning/buying, merchandising, demand planning, financial planning
Senior Global Supply Planner Description:
Create and deliver reliable supply plans to serve consumers while aligning to inventory objectives
Consumer focused, process and KPI driven, and is comfortable leveraging data and advanced analytics to drive and influence cross-functional stakeholders with clear and compelling insights, options and recommendations
Instill trust, act with courage, embrace and lead change, communicate vision and purpose, foster teamwork, cultivate innovation and ensure accountability
Work with the Global Supply Planning team to support day-to-day management of a segment of the client's full lead-time and/or responsive business
Work on initiatives to improve supply planning capabilities and decision making
Play an active role in creating a dynamic culture of respect and inclusion
Engage and collaborate with global and geography product, merch, planning, analytics, sourcing and manufacturing teams to ensure supply is positioned for the most critical product and demand priorities
Partner with the Tech and analytics teams to gain insights, build sustainable capabilities to improve the speed and quality of our decision making
Connect within the team to share and receive best practice insights to relentlessly work to improve the operational excellence and contributions to fuel growth
