Job Description
We are partnering with our client to identify a Plumbing Designer who will be responsible for producing 2D and 3D plumbing drawings for field installations. The Plumbing Designer will be working closely with the Project and BIM / VDC management team and heavily involved in all modeling efforts, 3D coordination and content preparation with a strong Revit skill set.
Required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as BIM/VDC Assistant Coordinator; or 5 years’ experience as an Assistant BIM/VDC Detailer, BIM/VDC Detailer or related.
An engineer, technical design, or construction management experience using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
Experience with Autodesk Revit, BIM 360 Glue, BIM Collaborate, or other model viewing/collaboration software preferred
Fabrication MEP .itm database management a plus
Understanding of all facets of construction blueprint, specifications and Requests for Information (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and special systems)
Knowledgeable in 3D coordination with other trades
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and produce detailed 2D and 3D Plumbing drawings for field installations and perform coordination activities with other sub-contractor trades as part of the coordination process.
Participates in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget and constructability requirements.
Have the ability to set up projects from company template to meet project specific needs, shop drawings, cross-sections of underground and above grade systems as required for instructions to fabrication and installation crews.
Support discovery of project design issues, preparation of RFI’s, material reports, producing visual aids, plans and descriptions for RFIs submission.
Navigate and understand all constructions documents (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical floor plans, sections, elevations and details)
Ability to confer with engineer of record and project management staff to resolve problems and explain drawings to production or construction teams and providing adjustments as necessary
Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs
Pay: $32.00/hr. - $43.00/hr. DOE ($65K - $90K when direct)
