Marketing Designer (Financial Services)
Location: Remote, preference for Miami or NYC
Duration: ~6 months to start 
Pay: $45-60/hr  DOE (W2 and benefit options) 

The Planet Group is looking for a Marketing Designer (Financial Services) to join our well-known financial services client on a roughly 6 month assignment, working a hybrid schedule from their New York, NY office.

Marketing Designer (Financial Services) Responsibilities:
  • Bring the brand to life through compelling visual narratives
  • Conceptualize and execute high-quality design and creative assets for both digital and print platforms across diverse channels, ensuring brand consistency and impactful communication
  • Ideate, establish, and reinforce consistent design systems across digital platforms, translating creative concepts into required digital assets
  • Work efficiently within brand guidelines to design high-impact content, maintaining versatility and originality
  • Source and edit images as needed, ensuring visual quality and brand alignment
  • Flow content and meticulously proofread text for accuracy and detail
  • Create custom collateral and presentations for key client engagements and events, including banners, signage, agendas, and other meeting materials
  • Apply creative direction and constructive feedback to enhance and improve creative output
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver optimal design solutions and visual impact
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and transition efficiently from concept to completion in a fast-paced, professional environment

Marketing Designer (Financial Services) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a creative role, preferably within financial services or a similarly regulated industry
  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating a breadth of capabilities
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with Figma, MS PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with Mac and PC platforms
  • Knowledge of standards-based HTML/CSS for responsive web and email design
  • Experience with email marketing tools
  • Knowledge of multimedia software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro) is a plus
  • Critical eye for content hierarchy and design aesthetics
  • Strong creative ideation and command of graphic design fundamentals, including typography, grids, layout, and color
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between digital and print formats and projects
  • Resourceful and efficient problem-solver, capable of adhering to strict deadlines and interpreting input from multiple sources
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality
