Financial Analyst

Location: Beaverton, OR
Contract length: ~4 months
Schedule: Onsite Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday
Pay: ~$35/hr

The Planet Group is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 4-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR, working onsite Monday-Thursday and working from home on Friday. This position will support global tech teams, supply chain teams, and finance teams.

Financial Analyst Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years’ experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, allocation, variance analysis, etc. 
    • One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Cognos, and/or Concur 
  • Ability to build a deck/presentation and present it to an audience
  • Excel and PowerPoint expertise
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • CPA certification nice to have, not required
  • Great communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities

Financial Analyst Description:
  • Assist with standard monthly close/forecast, ad hoc analysis 
  • Support business and tech side of the SEC program while working cross-functionally with various levels of leadership
  • Participate in the timely, accurate, and efficient administration of the appropriate financial system to ensure accurate financial statements, appropriate internal controls, compliance with company policies and delivery of value added information
  • Complete system documentation including standardized work instructions and make sure that operating procedures are up to date and available for all users
  • Ensure appropriate security access of end users to the applications supported consistent with company. policies
  • Perform periodic validation of system security to ensure compliance to policy
  • Ensure that there is appropriate training to business users of the systems supported and administrated
  • Provide advanced training as ""lead expert / super users"" to ""power users""
  • Participate in the preparation of timely and insightful financial ""lead expert / super users"" to ""power users""
  • Participate in the preparation of timely and insightful financial reporting of pertinent information to allow analysis of progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast, and to ensure integrity of the financial statements
