Job Description


Our client is seeking a skilled Epic OpTime/Anesthesia Analyst to support perioperative and anesthesia workflows within the Epic EHR. The ideal candidate will hold Epic certification in OpTime and/or Anesthesia and possess strong build, testing, and optimization experience to ensure efficient surgical operations, accurate documentation, and seamless integration across clinical and revenue cycle systems.

 

Logistics:
  • Remote in the following states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, South Dakota, Texas, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and North Carolina
  • Must work MST hours

 

Qualifications:
  • Epic OpTime and/or Anesthesia Certification required.
  • Proven Epic build and configuration experience within perioperative and anesthesia workflows.
  • Strong understanding of surgical scheduling, intraoperative documentation, and anesthesia workflow processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting operating room or anesthesia departments in a hospital setting is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain Epic OpTime and Anesthesia workflows, including case tracking, surgical scheduling, preference cards, and anesthesia documentation.
  • Collaborate with perioperative services, anesthesia providers, and clinical leadership to analyze requirements and translate them into effective Epic system configurations.
  • Optimize OR scheduling, resource utilization, and documentation processes to improve workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for build changes, upgrades, and new implementations.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and go-live assistance, ensuring operational readiness and workflow alignment.
  • Partner with other Epic teams (ClinDoc, Orders, Radiant, and Willow) to ensure integrated perioperative and clinical workflows.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and Epic best practices.
