Role Overview
The IT Supply Applications Lead will serve as a strategic partner to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency through SAP and related applications. This role combines hands-on application expertise with leadership, governance, and project management responsibilities in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
Define and maintain the IT roadmap for Supply functions
Stay current with manufacturing, regulatory, and technology trends
Lead governance efforts and regular business reviews
Ensure super users are trained and supported
Application Management
Oversee vendor relationships and license management
Partner with internal/external teams for development and support
Collaborate with Information Security to mitigate risks
Support audits and ensure compliance with policies
Manage change control and application administration
Leadership & Project Management
Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders
Lead cross-functional teams across geographies
Coach team members and guide vendors
Manage projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets
Identify and resolve resource constraints
Operations & Support
Oversee incident and request management for business systems
Ensure systems operate in line with company policies and SOPs
Conduct training, monitor interfaces, and manage SOX/ITGC controls
Enhancements & Implementation
Act as Project Manager for system improvements
Lead all phases of the project lifecycle (requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, training)
Design and implement process improvements
Author documentation and training materials
Define cutover and deployment plans
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply/Operations, or IT
7+ years of IT management experience in Supply applications within a regulated industry
10+ years of SAP MM and PP experience, with integration across SAP FICO
Experience with SAP Global Template environments and intercompany processes
Proven track record in process reengineering and partner integration
Familiarity with SAP SCM (APO, IBP), MES, Quality, and Serialization systems
Technical Skills
SAP MM, SD, PP-PI, WMS, IBP, BI
Power BI, ValGenesis, ServiceNow, Veeva QMS
Windows, MS Office
