Job Description
This Benefits Billing Coordinator reports to the Director of Benefits and is responsible to ensure that all employee and partner benefits related bills are paid appropriately. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the receipt of employee, partner, and retiree contributions. The incumbent will assist with Open Enrollment & year-end data integrity audits.

- Ensure payment of monthly bills including working with carrier billing contacts, insurance staff, and accounting staff.
- Reconciliation and analysis of billing statements, general ledger impact and payroll reports using technical judgment to ensure that insurance-related financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Assist with Open Enrollment & year-end data integrity audits.
- Prepare reports from PeopleSoft HRMS using PeopleSoft Query;
- Preparation of memoranda to document and communicate insurance-related billing issues.
- Propose cost-saving opportunities.
- Propose solutions to a variety of insurance and accounting issues.
- Special project work such as preparation of historical enrollment or cost and auditing.
- Create spreadsheets to be used in business analysis.
- Benchmark competitors to better position the firm within the industry.
- Other general insurance, reporting, and budgeting responsibilities, as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of Accounting or other analytical experience.
- Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience providing high quality customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience running reports in Peoplesoft.
