Job Description
An Electrical Controls or Automation Engineer responsible for troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions to machine control systems and making recommendations to improve efficiency and quality concerns. Experience with Siemens PLC's or Allen-Bradley.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, BSEET acceptable.
Years of Experience: 3+ Years in Electrical Engineering in Manufacturing Environment
Preferred Certificates: PMP
Experience with Siemens PLCs or Allen-Bradley.
Preferred:
Prior Experience in the Wire and Cable Manufacturing Industry is a plus but not required.
Working knowledge of power distribution, networks, PLC, HMI, and drive hardware and software.
Ability to read and create schematic drawings using AutoCAD software.
Must be able to communicate effectively with Operators, Technicians, Management and others.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Must possess a sense of urgency and ownership when working within time constraints.
Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and resolves malfunctions to machine control systems and makes recommendations to improve efficiency or quality concerns
Experience and proficiency with ladder logic/PLC programming, Siemens experience required
Develops new and modifies existing PLC and/or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls systems.
Participates in set-up and commissioning of new systems or upgrading of current systems.
Knowledge of AC and DC circuitry and electrical concepts
Versatile in ladder logic and various PLC programming languages. Working knowledge of field control devices (motors, relays, switches, photoeyes, etc.)
Designs, develops, maintains, and modifies instrumentation and control systems
Start to finish electrical control system hardware design experience (control panel and field wiring).
Competency in Electrical CAD
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Pay: $100 - $115K
