Location: Remote Duration: 7 months Pay: ~$62.00/hr, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Visual Designer to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on a 7-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a remote schedule.
The Visual Designer will craft beautiful experiences for the Client's global educational website.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design for the website.
Design new layouts with current page components and improve existing layouts.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design inspiring web and editorial content.
Think and design laterally across key communications channels.
Design at a systems level, where components can be re-used and built to scale, optimized across different screen sizes and devices.
Single-handedly develop pixel-perfected graphic assets and images.
Develop new content enablement educational templates and promotion assets to be used for scaled education, leveraging existing brand guidelines.
Iterate quickly and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity, with the ability to receive feedback constructively as well as provide feedback to others’ work.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Engineering and Product Design), as well as within the Content Enablement team.
Prototype out ideas within Figma for new concepts.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.
Visual Designer Qualifications:
4+ years of industry experience.
A portfolio showcasing strong digital and UI work and the parts you delivered.
Experience with Figma, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and an understanding of Content Management Systems is a must.
After Effects is a plus but not required.
Strong editorial design skills.
An eye for photography selection and combining imagery.
Demonstrable experience in concepting and delivering complex design solutions.
Exceptional attention to detail. You master craft, composition, imagery, typography, iconography and color.
Talent for articulating ideas and for finding simple, impactful ways to explain complex topics.
Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Experience working quickly and efficiently.
